Rose Cardamom Almond Drink

C – I am such a hoarder.

I find interesting ingredients. Buy them. Use them once. Think that it tastes funny and never use it again. I always end up talking myself into keeping it. Just in case I need it later on. That’s the complete definition of a hoarder.

This is definitely the case with the Rose Bud Tea I bought three years ago. I was infatuated by the look of the beautiful tiny, dried up rose buds in this great jar. I researched the benefits of drinking rose pedals and loved the idea. I couldn’t wait to try it. I bought it and I didn’t like it. It tasted like I was drinking perfumed water. I tried it a few times, thinking it would be an acquired taste. But, I never acquired it. It has been stuck in the tea drawer ever since, untouched … until today.

I knew I kept it for a reason!

Rose cardamom almond drink is my new favorite winter drink. It’s light and healthy and is a new take on almond milk for me. The rose and the cardamom has a great smell and taste. They complement each other very well. Its great to drink after an intense meal of garlic and onions.

One of the great health benefits of cardamom is that it helps with bad breath. It also great to soothe stomach issues. Rose will help with sore throats. All of it is win-win. Almonds in the drink also add a great aroma and distinctive taste. They create a creamy texture without the added fat of dairy.
